The AEMC Model 566 is a True RMS (TRMS) clamp-on leakage current meter designed to accurately measure low AC currents, typically leakage currents in ground conductors. Its high sensitivity allows detection of currents as low as 0.001 mA with resolutions up to 1 μA, achieved through specialized jaw construction and critical shielding to minimize noise interference.
Beyond leakage current measurements, the Model 566 functions as a standard clamp-on meter, measuring up to 60 Arms, and offers additional capabilities including AC/DC voltage measurement, resistance, continuity testing with a buzzer, and frequency measurements. A low-pass filter (LPF) can be activated to isolate 50/60 Hz fundamental frequencies, ignoring higher-order harmonics.
